Abstract

This study examines the concept of self-image in the context of Christianity based on Philippians 2:4-7 and its implementation in the lives of Christians. It highlights the importance of humans as unique creations of God who often lose awareness of their self-image, resulting in lives that do not reflect God's plan. The objective of this study is to delve deeper into the understanding of self-image according to Philippians 2:4-7 and how this understanding can bring about restoration in the lives of Christians. The methodology employed is a qualitative approach through literature review, with in-depth analysis of relevant texts. The findings indicate that the fall into sin has damaged the self-image of humanity; however, through salvation in Jesus Christ, the restoration of the lost self-image can occur. Principles from Philippians 2:4-7, such as humility, sacrifice, and service, if implemented, can restore humanity to God's original plan. This process involves ongoing transformation through the renewal of the mind and growth in the knowledge of God, resulting in a life that reflects the character and mission of Christ.
