Perintisan Gereja Melalui Kontektualisasi Pemberitaan Injil Pada Suku Nias

Abstract

This research aims to analyze church planting through the contextualization of preaching the gospel in the Nias tribe. The Nias tribe is an ethnic group with a rich culture and unique traditions in Indonesia. In this context, the Church and missionaries face the challenge of preaching the Gospel in a relevant and effective way to the Nias tribe. This research uses a qualitative approach with participatory observation, and content analysis of Gospel preaching that has been adopted in the context of the Nias tribe. The results found that contextualisation is done by incorporating elements of Nias culture in preaching, such as using local symbols, and familiar language, and paying attention to the context of customs. This allows the gospel message to be better received by the Nias tribe and increases communication effectiveness between the church and the community. This research makes a significant contribution to the understanding of church planting through the contextualization of preaching the gospel to the Nias tribe. The findings can be used as a guideline for churches and missionaries working in the Nias tribe to develop more contextualized and relevant preaching strategies.
