Pengaruh Pengaruh Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis dan Keterampilan Komunikasi Bagi Siswa dalam Menjawab Soal Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) di Sekolah Menengah Teologi Kristen Rote Timur

This research aims to determine the influence of critical thinking skills and communication skills on students in answering higher order thinking skills (HOTS) questions at the East Rote Christian Theological High School. This research uses quantitative research. The research sample consisted of 31 people and the data collection technique was a questionnaire. The results of the research stated that a positive and significant relationship was found between critical thinking and communication skills for students in answering HOTS questions. It was found that the correlation coefficient and coefficient of determination for Critical Thinking (X1) on HOTS questions (Y) were 0.471 and 0.222 or 22.2%. . It was found that the correlation coefficient and coefficient of determination for Communication Skills (X2) on HOTS Questions (Y) were 0.478 and 0.229 or 22.9%. It was found that the correlation coefficient and coefficient of determination for Critical Thinking (X1) and Communication Skills (X2) on HOTS Questions (Y) were 0.471 and 0.229 or 22.9% and the remaining 71.1% was determined by other variables. The conclusion obtained by the researcher is that there is a relationship between variables X1 and X2 towards Y and the results of the analysis show that Critical Thinking and Communication Skills have a sufficient influence so that the level of students answering HOTS questions is still difficult in answering HOTS questions and there is a lack of student response in the course of learning.
