Abstract

Tithes are an integral part of christian life from the past to the present, tithing is a clear proof that people care about stewardship activities in the ecclesiastical sphere and society. But today there are so many Christians who have the wrong concept of tithing, this mistaken concept of tithing can certainly hinder the work of stewardship in the church so that the implementation of stewardship carried out within the scope of the church is no longer effective in accordance with biblical values and principles. This research was conducted to find out what the concept of tithing in the Bible looks like and what kind of application it is for the Indonesian Gospel Tabernacle Church and specifically the Silo Kalunan Congregation. The purpose of this study is to provide a correct understanding for the congregation and the church in terms of tithing to the LORD. As for the method used in this scientific work, it is descriptive qualitative. The result is for Christians to correctly understand the concept of tithing from a biblical perspective and its application to the church today.
