Penerapan Audio-Visual dalam Bernyanyi Paduan Suara pada Ekstrakurikuler Musik di SMA Kristen Tongkat Harun

Music education in the school environment has a positive effect on the development of students' skills. However, it is not uncommon for schools to experience limited time in the teaching and learning process in class and are felt to be less effective, as well as learning aids/media that do not support the learning process. One way to improve the learning process is to use an appropriate learning environment. The learning media used in this study is the audio-visual method. The audio-visual learning environment is a different type of learning environment, where this learning environment contains audio and visual elements that can be seen and heard. The formulation of the problems discussed in this study are: a) Can the audiovisual teaching method improve students' singing abilities in the choir? B) Can the audio-visual learning method help student and teacher learning? The purpose of this work is to find out the growth of students' skills in the application of audio-visual technology in choirs. Researchers use audiovisual application theory. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The results of the research started from the sound production preparation process (midi), the selection of materials through lecture methods, demonstrations, imitation and drilling. The application starts with vocal exercises, warm-ups and exercises. This process is improving but needs to be evaluated.
