FUNGSI DAN MAKNA NYANYIAN PADO’A MASYARAKAT SABU DALAM KAJIAN ETNOMUSIKOLOGI (STUDI KASUS DI SANGGAR ADE INA DESA LEDE TALO KECAMATAN LIAE KABUPATEN SABU RAIJUA)

This study examines the function and meaning of Pado'a singing from an ethnomusicological perspective, with a case study at Sanggar Ade Ina, Lede Talo Village, Sabu Raijua Regency. Qualitative research methods with an ethnographic approach were used to analyze the form, structure, and meaning of Pado'a chanting through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that Pado'a singing has a unique musical structure, in the form of repetition figures, sequences, and free motifs, as well as multidimensional functions as a means of communication, entertainment, and social integration. The meaning contained in the Pado'a poem reflects spiritual values, respect for ancestors, and the spirit of togetherness. This research contributes to the preservation of local culture and the development of ethnomusicological studies in Indonesia.
