Abstract

This research aims to develop an Android application as a learning medium for the Sasando musical instrument. The application will be used by students to learn the Sasando instrument and will facilitate easier access to learning materials in accordance with applicable learning standards.

This study falls under the category of development research, following the multimedia-based development model by Lee & Owens (2014). This model consists of 5 stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The product is developed based on the Sasando book created and developed by Djony Theedens in 1996. The testing subjects are divided into two phases: the first phase involves individual testing with participants such as Content Experts, Media Experts, and three students. The second phase involves large-scale testing with twenty students. Data collection is conducted through questionnaires, which are used to assess the suitability of the content and media. The data is analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively.

The research results indicate that, during the field testing with students, the developed material falls within the "very suitable" category. Therefore, this Android- based Sasando learning media development is highly suitable for student use.
