Bentuk Pertunjukan Tarian Oko Mama Sanggar Tari Bisopo Etnis Timor Tengah Selatan, Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur

Abstract

The Oko Mama dance is a dance that is focused on using Oko Mama as a center in the dance where the meaning of this dance itself is a depiction of community values or identity as well as about courtesy, friendliness, and a form of respect for others by the people of South Central Timor. The Oko Mama dance implies all meanings through movement patterns that are agile, graceful and full of courtesy reflected in the dexterity of the dancers' hands in entertaining guests with Oko Mama. This dance is also an effective means of learning to foster a sense of love for cultural traditions through the learning process in it. There is also a process of imitation in training between trainers and dancers, a process that indirectly implies a system of ideas, actions, creations, initiatives. The writing of the article The Form of the Oko Mama Dance Performance uses ethnographic research contained in qualitative research where the research results are intended to be able to describe the research results in words, numbers, or objects in a particular individual or community.
