Abstract

The problems that arise in Luke's writings. First, in Luke's gospel, Jesus, who is considered a savior, died. Second, in the Acts of the Apostles the Church experienced Persecution (Acts 4:1-3; 5:40; 7:57-58; 8:1-3) and Salvation for other nations (Acts 10:34-36). aims to understand Luke's writings which explains how God (God and His works) began to fulfill His promises which were proven through Jesus and the Church, as the fulfillment and expansion of God's promises, to spread the gospel to Jews and non-Jews. For that Luke in unfolding the history of God's salvation there are three stages: the stage of planning God's promise, the stage of implementation by Jesus and the stage of the Church (gospel expansion). The approach used in this study is qualitative, by applying the descriptive method of biblical analysis to Luke's writings, in understanding God and His work in Luke's writings between Luke's gospel and the Acts of the Apostles. The results of this study of Luke's writings provide a common thread that Luke's writings are two volumes of books that cannot be separated because what Luke conveys in his writings provides an understanding of the history of God's salvation starting from God's Promises and plans, Execution and Fulfillment of Promises by Jesus and Church for the whole world .
